Vikings Elite Competition Team Placement Clinic/Tryouts

Placement Clinic Dates:

- April 30th from 6-8pm

- May 2nd from 6-8pm

Tryout Date:

- May 4th from 4-6pm

Placement Clinic will take place at Olypmic View Baptist Church in University Place.

Tryout location is TBD.

In order to attend our placement clinic and become a member of one of our competition teams, athletes with birth years between 2011-2016 are required to be a part of our sideline squad. Athletes with birth years between 2006-2010 are NOT required to be on our sideline squad, but can be if they choose.

Attendance at both of the two placement clinic days is required in order to attend tryouts. The placement clinics are a part of the tryout process. The $25 fee covers the two clinic days and the tryout day. If your athlete chooses to participate on the competition team they were placed on for the season, the $25 will go towards their competition registration fee. You must attend all three days to be placed on a team.

Teams offered:

- L1 Traditional Rec

- L2.1 OR 3.1 Performance Rec (official level will be determined post tryouts)

Athletes 10 and up will have the option to tryout for spots on both teams if they choose. Please discuss this with your athlete. Not all athletes interested will be placed on both teams.

In order to be placed on our performance rec team, tumbling, specifically front walk overs and back walk overs, are not required, but highly encouraged.

Please arrive to all clinic days and tryouts on time and in cheer apparel (black shorts, plain black t-shirt, hair in a pony, cheer shoes/tennis shoes, sports bra, NO jewelry of any kind - not even taped!). Attendance to the placement clinic is required in order to attend tryouts!

On Sunday, May 5th, we will post to our Instagram and Facebook listing our new competition teams. We are no-cut, so each athlete will be placed on one of the two teams!
